Solar Battery Storage
Get the most out of your solar system
Take your energy future into your own hands with a clean, reliable energy storage system.
Storing energy produced by your solar panels for later use requires a solar battery.
Batteries are charged by your solar panels. During times when your solar panels are not producing energy, such as at night or during periods of extended cloud-cover, you can use the energy stored in your battery to power your home. The higher the battery’s capacity, the more energy it can store, making batteries a good short-term backup power source in the event of a power outage in your area.
You’ll still have access to the grid with a grid-tied solar system, but will significantly reduce your reliance on utility and fossil fuels. Additionally, excess energy produced your panels is still sent back to the grid (after your battery is fully charged), allowing you to take advantage of “net metering,” a billing mechanism that credits homeowners for the power they produce and send to the grid.
