Once you buy the SaviorO3, installation is as easy as taking the solar-powered water pump out of the delivery box, and placing it on the surface of your in-ground or above ground swimming pool, Jacuzzi, hot tub or pond. The SaviorO3 has all the advantages of the original Savior but with a Corona Discharge Ozone Generator attachment that changes the game for water sanitation. The SaviorO3 produces ozone that is a very unstable molecule, thus it reacts very quickly with organic and ammonia compounds that are easily oxidized, such as sweat, urine, lotion, oils, bacteria, viruses and other organisms that nature and swimmers bring to a pool. SaviorO3 ozone is nature's most powerful oxidizer and reacts over 2000 times faster than chlorine. About Ozone Generating Systems
In nature, ozone is produced by the action of lightning on the oxygen found in the air. The formation of ozone leads to the fresh smell that you find outside after a lightning storm. The SaviorO3 ozone generator mimics this natural process in its ozone generating cells.

Ozone was first used in swimming pool water treatment in the 1950's. Since then its use has widely grown. There are over 30,000 swimming pools in Europe that are treated with ozone. The swimming pools for the Olympics have been treated with Ozone at least since 1986 for the Los Angeles Olympics. Most recently the Sydney Aquatic Center pool water was treated with Ozone.

pH neutral Ozone consists of three oxygen atoms and is referred to as O3.Ozone has a very short life cycle and must be produced on site at the pool location. Ozone is created by a process where O2 Molecules are divided into two 01 atoms. Oxygen diatom or O1 does not exist alone naturally. What occurs after the splitting of the O2 molecule is the newly created O1 immediately loosely bond to available O2's forming O3 molecules.
The loosely bonded O1 departs the O3 and attaches to any organic which results in oxidation of the organic (basically very rapidly disrupts the DNA/RNA structures). The O2 is released as O2 and the contaminate that was oxidized by the O1 is destroyed.
SaviorO3 Ozone is introduced into water by a venturi injector creating a vacuum to suck ozone into the water or with direct injection or diffusers by pushing the air into the water. The Ozone mixes with the water. The best saturation of Ozone in water is obtained when many fine bubbles of Ozone is introduced which provide more total surface area of Ozone contact.
No Chlorine Needed
Instead of chlorine, bromine is used. The bromide combines with the SaviorO3 to form bromine. The bromine then reacts with the algae. Bromide is then released as a byproduct. The cycle begins again!! Bromides needs only to be added to replace that removed by water splashing out of the pool or exiting on the bodies of swimmers. An added advantage as you can see, is that there are no harmful byproducts. SaviorO3 ozone breaks down into oxygen. Chlorine on the other hand breaks down into trihalomethanes, which have been shown to increase the incidence of kidney, bladder and colon cancer. Another byproducts of chlorine plus urine and or perspiration are chloramines, which cause eye and skin irritation.
SaviorO3 Systems (Salt-free)
Sodium bromide (NaBr)
To further increase the solubility of the SaviorO3 ozone in water without increasing the size or number of the SaviorO3 ozone generators sodium bromide (NaBr), a naturally occurring component in sea water, can be added to the pool.
How much sodium bromide (NaBr) to add: Sodium bromide (NaBr) is added to the pool or spa at a concentration of 15 - 30 mg/L (0.015 - 0.030 g/L) only at the beginning of the season.
SaviorO3 ozone (O3) reacts with sodium bromide (NaBr) to form hypobromous acid (HOBr) which itself is a powerful bactericide. Upon reacting with an organic molecule in the pool water hypobromous acid is converted back to bromide. This bromide then reacts with ozone to form hypobromous acid and the cycle begins again.
In this way, the sodium bromide is continuously recycled by ozone. So, one only needs to add 15 - 30 mg/L (0.015 - 0.030 g/L) at the beginning of the season and perhaps add 1-3 mg/L (0.001 - 0.003 g/L) every few months to make-up for losses due to backwashing, splashing, drag-out etc.

SaviorO3ozone generators produce ozone through an electrolytic process, one must ensure that the pool water is sufficiently conductive. To achieve this goal, salt (such as sodium chloride and/or sodium bromide) is added to the pool.
The SaviorO3ozone generator is not a salt chlorine generator. Salt chlorine generators produce chlorine whereas SaviorO3Ozone Generators produce ozone and mixed oxidants.
How much sodium chloride (NaCl) to add: Sodium chloride is added to the pool at a concentration of 2 grams/L only at the beginning of the season to increase the water conductivity. A few months later, some make-up salt (say about 0.2 g/L) might have to be added in order to compensate for losses due to backwashing, splashing, rain etc.
