During the initial stages of the engineering development,
early involvement with the utility power provider and the
local government agencies insured that interconnection requirements
and all building permits and inspections were properly verified
well before actual construction began.
Today’s computer-aided design allowed for precise system
planning, diagrams, and proposals. Once all approvals were
given the go-ahead, the Santiago’s installation proceeded.
During the process, the certified solar technicians paid strict
attention to the details of the project that are of concern
to any
homeowner; to flawlessly seal all roof mounting penetrations,
carefully wire and plumb each system with safety and aesthetic
concerns being addressed in consultation with Pedro when
customer preferences were involved, and finally the start-up

for Pedro as far as upkeep were the infrequent cleaning of panels
after a long period of no rain, accomplished with a simple dust
removing spay-down with their garden hose.
