Automatic Inground Pool Cleaner

PROBLEM: Machine does not move, or moves slowly
SOLUTION:
- Confirm that the main drain is closed.
- Ensure ideal flow is being attained using Pool Pulse™. Note: In water 60°F or less, it may be necessary to increase flow to compensate for the reduced flexibility of the hose and diaphragm.
- Check diaphragm for damage or wear.
- Backwash filter and empty pump basket.
- Check for air in system. If water level in pump basket drops or you notice excessive air bubbles in pump basket or coming out of the return jets, you have air in the system. Check hose connections, tighten all fittings at pump, and check gasket in pump for wear. You may need to have a pool professional check for air leaks in the lines.
PROBLEM: Machine patterns/does not cover majority of pool
SOLUTION:
- Ensure ideal flow is being attained using the pool pulse. High flow will cause the cleaner to climb more.
- Point return jets as far down as possible. Or use jets to push the hose around as described in owner's manual.
- Make sure hose does not have memory from being coiled.
- Ensure hose weight is in the proper position on the hose. See your owner's manual for proper weight position. Please note: aboveground pool cleaners do not require weights.
- Confirm proper hose length.
PROBLEM: Machine sticks on ladder
SOLUTION:
- Ensure ideal flow is being attained using Pool Pulse. Lower flow will bring the cleaner off the walls.
- Ensure hose weight is in the proper position on the hose. See your owner's manual for proper weight position. Please note: aboveground pool cleaners do not require weights.
PROBLEM: Machine sticks in steps
SOLUTION:
- Check Pool Pulse for ideal flow.
- Ensure correct amount of hose is being used. Shorten if necessary. See owner's manual.
- Utilize return jets to push the hose away as shown in owner's manual.
PROBLEM: Machine stays on walls or edge of pool
SOLUTION:
- Reduce flow to low side of ideal range on Pool Pulse.
- Ensure hose weight is in the proper position on the hose. See your owner's manual for proper weight position. Please note: aboveground pool cleaners do not require weights.
PROBLEM: Machine won't climb walls
SOLUTION:
- Machine may not climb walls of some vinyl pools or pools with safety ledges.
- Ensure hose weight is in the proper position on the hose. See your owner's manual for proper weight position. Please note: aboveground pool cleaners do not require weights.
- Raise flow to high side of ideal range on pool pulse.
PROBLEM: Diaphragm Removal
SOLUTION:
- If your machine does not move, there may be something lodged in the diaphragm or it may be damaged. To check the diaphragm for blockage, wear or damage follow the directions in the "Care and Maintenance" section of your manual to access the diaphragm.
- If there is damage to the diaphragm such as a hole or tear, it needs to be replaced. If the diaphragm does not rest closed, i.e., when you look through the diaphragm there is a large gap, it may be worn and needs replacing.
- If blockage is apparent, grasp it and remove it, or you can use a garden hose to flush the blockage through.
